Close your account

Before you stop using Trade Llama: close positions, take funds out of Earn, withdraw your balance from Wallet, and secure your login.

Your Profile page doesn't currently include an option to close your account yourself. If you want to stop using Trade Llama, the most important step is to move your money out: cancel orders, close positions, and withdraw your funds from Wallet.

Before you stop using your account

  1. Cancel any open orders on Trade and Futures.
  2. Close any open futures and CFD positions. Prices can move while you do this, so check each position before you close it.
  3. Check Earn for any Simple Earn or Cash Plus holdings and take them out where the product allows it. Fixed-term Simple Earn products follow the term you chose.
  4. If your funds are spread across accounts, open Wallet and use Transfer to bring them together.
  5. In Wallet, choose Withdraw and send your balance out using one of the available methods: Wire (bank transfer), Card or Crypto. See Withdraw funds.
  6. Check your Wallet transaction history to confirm each withdrawal is listed.
  7. Keep a note of any records you need for your own files, such as your transaction history.
Double-check crypto addresses. Crypto withdrawals usually can't be reversed once they're sent, so check the destination address carefully before you confirm.

Leave your account secure

  • Make sure your password is strong and not used anywhere else. You can change it on Profile.
  • Log out on every device and browser you used, especially shared ones.
  • Don't share your login details or reset links with anyone, even after you stop trading.

Terms and your data

The Terms of Service set out the rules for your account. The Privacy policy explains how your personal data is handled. You can also find your legal documents on your Profile page.

Just taking a break?

If you only want to stop trading for a while, you don't have to close anything. Log out, and consider withdrawing any funds you don't plan to use. When you come back, log in at Log in or reset your password at Forgot password if you've forgotten it.

If something goes wrong

If a withdrawal doesn't appear in your history or your balance looks wrong, see Can't log in or something looks wrong with your account. There's no live chat, so your Wallet history and Profile page are the best places to check your account's details.
