Deposit funds
Add money to Trade Llama from Wallet by bank wire, card or crypto, and follow each deposit in your transaction history.
To add money, log in, open Wallet and choose Deposit. You can deposit by Wire (bank transfer), Card or Crypto, and each deposit shows up in your transaction history.
Before you start
- You need a Trade Llama account. New here? Sign up first.
- If the wallet asks you to verify your identity before depositing, follow Verify your identity. You can see your status on your profile.
Deposit crypto
- Open Wallet, choose Deposit and pick Crypto.
- Select the coin you want to deposit.
- If you're asked to choose a network, pick the same network you'll send from.
- Copy the deposit address shown on screen.
- In the wallet or platform you're sending from, paste the address and send the coins.
- Come back to Wallet and follow the deposit in your transaction history.
Deposit fiat by bank transfer (Wire)
"Fiat" simply means regular government-issued money, as opposed to crypto.
- Open Wallet, choose Deposit and pick Wire.
- Note the bank details shown.
- Send the transfer from your bank using those details exactly as shown.
- Follow it in your transaction history in Wallet.
Bank transfers move through the banking system, so timing depends on your bank. Your bank may also charge its own fee for sending a wire.
Deposit by card
Open Wallet, choose Deposit, pick Card and follow the steps on screen. If you'd rather buy a specific coin with your card, use Buy Crypto. See Buy crypto with a card.
Looking for withdrawals?
Sending crypto out or money back to your bank works from the same Wallet page: choose Withdraw. See Withdraw funds.
If something goes wrong
- Crypto hasn't arrived: crypto deposits need confirmations on their network, so timing depends on the network. Check that the transaction went out on the sending side, and that you used the right coin, network and address.
- Wire hasn't arrived: ask your bank to confirm the transfer was sent with the details Wallet showed.
- There's no live chat. For account-specific questions, see Get help with your account.
