You can buy crypto with a bank card on the Buy Crypto page. Pick a coin and an amount, check the estimate, then pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can see an estimate without an account, but paying needs one.

Payment methods you can use

Whether a particular card works also depends on the bank that issued it. Some banks block crypto purchases, especially on credit cards.

How to buy

  1. Open Buy Crypto.
  2. Pick the coin you want.
  3. Enter the amount. The page shows an estimate of what you'll get.
  4. Choose your payment method.
  5. Log in when asked, or sign up if you're new.
  6. Review the details and complete the payment.

Afterward, check your balances in Wallet and on your Dashboard.

The estimate isn't a final price. Crypto prices move constantly, so what you receive can differ from the estimate. Check the figures before you confirm the payment.

Third-party payment services

Apple Pay and Google Pay are the third-party payment services you can use on Buy Crypto. If you're looking for a different provider, it isn't available on Trade Llama right now. You can also fund your account from Wallet by Wire (bank transfer), Card or Crypto. See Deposit funds.

Other ways to get crypto

  • Convert: already hold a coin? Swap it for another at a quoted rate with Convert.
  • Spot trading: buy with a market or limit order on Trade. See How to trade spot.
  • P2P trading isn't available on Trade Llama.

If your payment doesn't go through

  • Check the card details and that your card allows online payments.
  • Ask your bank whether it declined the payment because it was a crypto purchase.
  • Charged but no coins? Check your Dashboard and the transaction history in Wallet, then see Get help with your account.
